Helping the Mines Community Build Companies

The Beck Venture Center, spanning 31,000 square feet, serves as a dynamic hub where entrepreneurs, investors, mentors, companies, and students converge to foster innovation.

Within its walls, the Mines Venture Program stands ready to provide startups with essential support for their journey to launch. This comprehensive program orchestrates a top-tier network of mentors and advisors, orchestrates captivating demo days and “look books” to spotlight startups to potential investors, and facilitates access to a meticulously curated network of service providers.

Moreover, it hosts a range of educational and networking events to further enrich the entrepreneurial ecosystem. Through the Beck Venture Center, founders benefit from a holistic support system grounded in four key pillars: Training, Industry Partnerships, Events, and a Collaborative Community. Complementing these pillars are funding opportunities via grants and assistance in preparing for investment capital endeavors. Together, these elements create an environment where entrepreneurial aspirations can thrive and innovative ideas can take flight.

Mike and Kelly Beck, seeing our growing emphasis on programs and facilities devoted to entrepreneurship and innovation, were the first to point out our need for a business venture center – a facility where the translation of research innovations to successful products and businesses happens.
