Venture Center Partners

The development of strong partnerships with other organizations representing industry, government, investors and academics is a key element in expanding the network of resources available to founders and building the startup community.

Partners provide access to subject matter experts, funding and programs not typically available to early stage founders.

The Colorado School of Mines is a proud affiliate of the Western Innovation Corps Hub, one of only ten National Science Foundation Innovation Corps (I-Corps) National Hubs, in a partnership between UCLA, USC, and CU Boulder. Our collaboration extends to Caltech, UC Riverside, University of Utah, and University of New Mexico.

West Gate embeds innovators at NREL and the Colorado School of Mines and pairs them with scientists who specialize in the innovators’ technology areas. Throughout the program’s two-year runway, innovators work with scientists in NREL and Mines’ world-class laboratories to de-risk their technologies, ready them for market, and grow their startup companies.
